At Paul’s Place, stories have the power to help us feel less alone in our very human experiences. These stories connect us and bring us all together. Our community is made up of many amazing people, from the individuals and families who benefit from Paul’s Place services and programs to our volunteers who dedicate their time to advancing our mission. All of them have their own unique reasons for connecting with Paul’s Place, and personal motivations for staying involved. These are their stories.

Doing whatever is necessary to help

Months before COVID-19 hit, Bob arrived in downtown Baltimore at the bus station without knowing where his next meal was coming from or where he would put his head down for the night. Bob found Paul’s Place.

Former Chef turns to Paul’s Place for help

Joseph lost his 28-year job as a chef. Diagnosed and treated for bi-polar disorder for many years, this former chef was living in his truck and shelters with his son before and during the pandemic. Then he found Paul’s Place.
