first grader reading with her middle school mentor

Journee reads one of her favorite books with her mentor, Kaliah.

Spark the love of learning in students this school year!

“Reading is awesome!” – Journee, second grader

Children who are not reading at grade level by the end of third grade are four times more likely to drop out of high school. That’s why the academic support, enrichment, and mentoring in After-3 are so important.

Right now, you can help Journee and 74 elementary students at George Washington Elementary School in Pigtown get the academic support they need thrive in school – and to love learning.

Thank you! Your gift will help students like Journee thrive in school and support all our other essential programs for people in our Southwest Baltimore communities.
