Derrick and 39 other elementary students practice their math and reading skills through fun educational games and enrichment activities to prevent summer learning loss. Summer camp is just one of the life-changing programs donors to Paul’s Place make possible.

Nurture the Love of Learning

Mentor an elementary or high school student. Mentors become role models, care for and support their students, build strong relationships with them, assist students with homework, and read with them. Mentors are paired with one student and meet once per week (Monday- Thursday) from 3 to 4 p.m. at George Washington Elementary School (elementary student mentors) or from 4 to 6 p.m. at Paul’s Place (high school student mentors). To learn more and become a mentor, contact Jayna Powell, Volunteer Coordinator, by email.
