  • Emergency assistance to prevent food insecurity, utility shut-offs, eviction, or other one-time expenses for one family in financial crisis ($21/month)

  • Job search and career development support for one unemployed adult ($83/month)
  • After-school academic support and mentoring for one elementary student reading below grade level ($113/month)

Donate Needed Items

Paul’s Place depends on the generosity of our in-kind donors to provide our essential programs and services. There are a variety of ways for individuals, families, and organizations to give in-kind to Paul’s Place. We’ll seek out YOUR interests and combine them with our needs!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adjusted some of our donation practices to ensure the safety of our guests, donors, and staff. Please reach out to ensure your donation meets our updated guidelines. We are still accepting donations of gently-used in-season clothing and new hygiene items. We are particularly in need of men’s items.

Guidelines For Donations

We gratefully accept in-season clothing of all sizes, especially men’s. We switch to spring/summer in April and fall/winter in October. Clothing should be gently used and freshly laundered. In addition to clothing, we need blankets/sleeping bags, backpacks, toiletries, and diapers.

What you need to know

Our Tax ID Number

Our tax identification number may be required when you recommend a grant from your donor advised fund, donate distributions from your IRA, or designate Paul’s Place as a beneficiary in your estate plans. It is 52-1372359.

Planned Giving

Through planned giving, individuals are able to arrange gifts to be made at a future date, helping to support the long-term goals of Paul’s Place. Planned giving may also provide tax benefits to you now, to your estate and even provide income throughout your lifetime.

Donating From your IRA

The charitable IRA rollover may be a great option for you if you pay federal income tax on unneeded, but required distributions from your traditional IRA, even if you do not itemize deductions on your taxes. Here’s how it works: once you reach 70 1/2 years, you can make gifts of up to $100,000 per year to qualified charitable organizations, like Paul’s Place, directly from your IRA.
