Clean Out Your Closet Week: April 17- 21

April 14th, 2017

Happy spring! For Baltimore’s homeless and low-income individuals and families, the turn of the seasons comes with an additional challenge: how to afford clothing for themselves and their families. Fortunately, Paul’s Place offers in-season, gently-used clothing free of charge for residents of Southwest Baltimore. Men and women can shop for their families in our Market Place twice per month, and that free clothing is an essential component of their family’s monthly budget.

With the weather getting warmer, it is a great time to look in your closet for spring and summer clothing that’s still in good shape but you know you won’t wear – -and donate them to Paul’s Place. During Clean Out Your Closet Week (April 17-21), you have an extra incentive. Power Plant Live! is collecting donations of gently-used spring and summer clothing at Leinenkeugel’s Beer Garden and awarding discounted tickets to Springfest Live! Craft Beer Festival on May 13 to all clothing donors.

The items we need most are:

Men’s Clothing
Pants, jeans, and shorts (especially smaller sizes: 30,32,34)
Button-down shirts
Polo shirts
Shoes and work boots (especially large sizes 12,13, 14+)
New socks
New underwear

Women’s Clothing
Pants, jeans, and shorts (especially plus sizes)
Blouses (especially white button-down shirts)
Maternity clothing
New socks
New underwear

Children’s Clothing
Anything in any size!
Polo shirts (plain colors)
New socks

Don’t have time to Clean Out Your Closet during our designated week? You can drop off your new or gently-used spring and summer clothing donations Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or you can purchase items on our Amazon wish list for the Market Place and have them shipped to Paul’s Place.
